IT is managed by a Board of Directors, with the support of the Director General, and by site management boards. IT scientific activities are overseen by the Scientific Board, which meets twice a year to comment on the Work Plan and Budget, on the Annual Report, and on any other subject put forward by the Board of Directors.

The Work Plan with the Budget and the Annual Report and Accounts (after legal certification) are subsequently submitted to the General Assembly for approval. IT Work Plan and the Annual Report are discussed with the Advisory Council.
