Communicating science outside the scientific world is not an easy task: the language used “between peers” is difficult to understand and the lack of a narrative thread can make the subjects uninteresting and too complicated. That is why the opportunity to send a message that is important to all of us gets easily lost, especially in an "era" of misinformation and "fake news". Com-municating science in a clear and accessible way can be the path that leads to a science for all.
This workshop is aimed at all the researchers and professors who need to communicate science to the general public. No registration is required.
With a degree in Forestry Engineering (from Instituto Superior de Agronomia), she taught cartography and remote sensing at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, but ended up dedicating herself to the area of communication and language.
She worked for the company Português Claro, was a jury for the Access to Culture - Simple Language award in 2018. She is currently responsible for the “Comunicar Ciência Clara” course, which has had two editions at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia and has passed through institutions such as MARE - IPL and Montis. She also the author of the blog: “Estrada para Damasco”, dedicated to communicating science in a clear way.
