Creating and sharing knowledge for telecommunications

IT at the 29th edition of Ciência Viva 2025

on 30-06-2025

... Instituto de Telecomunicações is excited to return for the 29th edition of Ciência Viva Labs, offering three dynamic workshops in July 2025 specifically designed for high school students (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades).

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies and expand your knowledge in the fields of Antennas and Propagation, Telecommunications, and Biomedical Engineering.

Participants will dive into the fascinating world of ICT, covering topics like 5G technology, artificial intelligence, and biosignals.

"Ciência Viva no Laboratório" is a summer internship program that allows students from 9th grade to 12th grade (including professional education students) to intern free of charge at some of the most prestigious scientific institutions in the country.

on 02-06-2025

... Now in its 16th edition, the IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference (VNC) has been the primary venue for the community working and interested in cooperative and autonomous driving, as well as vehicular communication and networking at large.

The 2025 IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference (VNC) seeks to bring together researchers, professionals, and practitioners to present and discuss recent developments and challenges in vehicular networking, V2X communications connected & automated driving, and related applications.

IEEE VNC 2025 will be held in Porto, Portugal from June 2 to June 4, 2025.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Connectivity
Radio technologies for vehicular networks (e.g., channel measurements, propagation models, antenna design)
V2X communication technologies, including DSRC, C-V2X, 5G/6G, WiFi, satellite, and emerging technologies like VLC, mmWave, THz, or massive MIMO, beamforming, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) / Joint Communication and Sensing (JCAS)
Networking, transport and QoS management for vehicular networks
In-vehicle communication and networking systems
Time-sensitive and deterministic networks for vehicular communications

Architecture and System Design
