Optical Communications and Photonics – Lx is devoted to create top level knowledge in the areas of optical components and sub-systems, optical systems and networking. Some of the ongoing research involves optoelectronic and photonic device simulation and characterization, plastic fiber sensor applications, performance of next generation ultra-dense metro networks and ROADM-based metropolitan optical networks.
The Optical Communications and Photonics – Lx Group has 9 PhD members and several collaborators involving PhD and MSc students.
