PhD student Amélia Ramos wins the TICRA Foundation Grant

Amélia Ramos, a PhD student from IT and University of Aveiro, was distinguished with one of the eight TICRA Foundation Grants.

14th Conference of URSI’s Portuguese Committee delivers another win for IT

IT was yet again highly represented at the annual URSI Portuguese Committee Conference, with two affiliated PhD students winning the Best Student Paper Award.

Bio

I am an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer who developed a Master Thesis on Multilayer Antennas for 5G Applications. After that I started my PhD and my interest on LEO Satellite Communications grew. I integrated a project where my main contribution is the antenna design for a phased array module which will operate within the next generation of satellite constellations in non-stationary orbits. I am an enthusiastic, responsible and hard working person, eager to face new challenges and embrace each opportunity.
