Bio

Ana Sofia Carmo received a M.S. degree (2021) in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal.

Since then, she has started her PhD studies in Instituto de Telecomunicações, continuing her research in the field of biosignal monitoring and machine learning applied to Epilepsy management and seizure forecast.

Her current interests reside not only on wearable design, pattern recognition and machine learning, but also on knowledge transfer. She has attended to this interest by joining ScientISST, a scientific outreach project in Biomedical Engineering, and more recently becoming a teaching assistant in the Department of Bioengineering, in IST.
