Bio

Gonçalo Paiva Dias has a graduation and a master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and a PhD in Computer Engineering from de University of Aveiro, and a Habilitation in Information Sciences and Technologies from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. He is full professor at the School of Technology and Management of Águeda (ESTGA) of the University of Aveiro and a researcher at the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) and at the Telecommunications Institute (IT). He held several positions at the University, including Vice Rector, President of the Pedagogical Council, Dean of ESTGA, and Director of the degree in Information Technology. He is an expert of the Portuguese Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) for institutional assessment and internal quality assurance systems. He is a member of the International Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Electronic Government Research (IJEGR), the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Information Systems Engineering & Management (JISEM), the Scientific Committee of the Iberian Journal of Systems and Information Technology (RISTI), and the Coordinating Committee of the Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI). He publishes regularly about digital government, information systems and technologies, and higher education.
