IT-Porto in collaboration with the research unit Cister, submitted a proposal to host in Porto, in December of 2017, the 38th edition of the IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium, the flagship conference of the real-time systems community. The proposal was presented publicly by Luis Almeida (IT) and Eduardo Tovar (Cister), during the open meeting of the IEEE Technical Committee on Real-Time Systems that took place during RTSS 2015, in the 3rd of December in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
In the same ceremony there were two other proposals, namely from Paris and Munich.
