The IT researchers Rogério Nogueira, Nuno Borges de Carvalho and Susana Sargento participated at the “Air summit Portugal: Flying for a New Start", which took place on 13-17 October 2021 in Ponte de Sôr.
The IT researchers, respectively coordinator of the Optics & Photonics and coordinator of the Research Cluster Radio Systems at Instituto de Telecomunicações, participated in the panel “New space for people: How Portugal is strengthening the Space industry”. This panel, which took place on the 14th of October (see the program), addressed the PHOAM technology – photonic assisted multibeam phased array antenna and the role of 3rd cycle training in the development of critical skills for the sector.
Susana Sargento, leader of the European project Aveiro STEAM City, participated in the panel "Artificial intelligence in the Upskilling and Reskilling” on the 13th of October.
Air Summit Portugal was born in 2017 and is considered now one of the biggest aerospace summits in the Iberian Peninsula.
