We are proud to announce that the IEEE Portugal Joint Chapter on Antennas & Propagation - Microwave Theory & Techniques (AP03/ED15/MTT17), chaired by Rafael Caldeirinha since 2016, together with Pedro Cruz (Bosch Ovar) as Vice President, and António Topa (IT-IST) as Secretary/Treasurer, was awarded the "Outstanding Chapter Section Award" by IEEE Portugal.

This award is given to the Chapters of IEEE Portugal that stand out in each calendar year for the quantity and quality of activities carried out and programs implemented.

This award is of special relevance and impact due to the fact that the activity of the Joint Chapter AP03/ED15/MTT17 was promoted by researchers from IT and the Industry.

It should be noted that in June of this year this chapter had already been distinguished with the "MTT-S Outstanding Chapter Award" worldwide.
