Portugal and Brazil just signed a partnership agreement for speeding up knowledge in the field of ICT

Brain (Centre of Innovation and Digital Business), founded by Algar Telecom, UFU (Federal University of Uberlândia), Brazil, and IT (Instituto de Telecomunicações), Portugal, just signed an agreement for joint action for innovation from January 2022. The work fronts will be focused mainly on disruptive issues related to ICT, Digital Solutions, 5G, Telecom Networks, Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, among others.

The partnership will implement a joint venture between the private initiative and renowned public scientific institutions, with the aim of speeding up or developing new R&D (Research and Development) projects and promoting or exchanging knowledge.

IT is a private, not-for-profit organization, of public interest, a partnership of nine institutions with research and development in the field of Telecommunications, with a mission to create and disseminate new knowledge and support advanced training in the broad field of the Technologies of Information, Communications and Electronics (TICE), with a special emphasis on Telecommunications.

UFU is a reference university in technology, laboratories in IT and telecommunications, financed by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI).

Brain is an Institute of Science and Technology (ICT) that promotes or develops disruptive solutions to solve problems for companies and people through the open innovation model and strategic partnerships, maintaining a group of researchers dedicated specifically to R&D activities.
