NEI - Noite Europeia de Investigadores TeamUp5G 5G Communications

The TeamUp5G (New RAN TEchniques for 5G UltrA-dense Mobile networks) is back to the European Researchers' Night, this coming September 30th.

Among the many editions in which it participated, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021, in this one, the proposal is “advanced 5G for all”.

The team of Early-Stage Researchers will present their recent findings in this key sector of the digital economy, while divulging small demonstrators and prototypes, e.g., virtual, and augmented reality.

Energy-efficient 5G communications will enable very high broadband communications to people in general, in a framework of energy sustainability. 5G Advanced will facilitate the population access to ubiquitous high-speed data, enabling generalized access to the Internet of Things and to Ultra Reliable Low latency Communications, facilitating autonomous driving and communications with aerial, terrestrial, and maritime drones. 5G will be enabled by an ultra-dense network via advanced packet reception techniques, in the radio interface, making the interoperability between navigation systems (radar) and communication systems a reality.

The European Researchers' Night (NEI) is an initiative funded by the European Commission, under the Horizon 2020 program, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), which aims to bring researchers and citizens closer together.

TeamUp5G is a European Training Network (ETN) in the frame of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (MSCA ITN) of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 framework. ETNs are multi-partner research training networks whose beneficiaries will be drawn from the academic and non-academic sectors to form a structured, international, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary research and training environment for Ph.D. students.
