This special issue brings to all the report of the celebrating event of the 30th anniversary of Instituto de Telecomunicações.

It was a very special moment, and this was only possible because of the great participation and sense of belonging of all those present.

We had the opportunity to present a sample of the research work carried out and the contribution that IT has made over time to the pursuit of national and international science and technology policy goals.

On the same day, it was inaugurated the clean chamber dedicated to the development, integration, and testing of nanosatellites qualified for space, an infrastructure that aims to create knowledge and conditions and which results from a consortium that includes IT and IST.
