Haoran Chi, our researcher, was recently awarded the Outstanding Associate Editor Award 2024 by IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics from the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, for his remarkable contributions to the journal's editorial.

The IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics is a leading multidisciplinary journal that bridges the gap between theory and real-world industrial application, focusing on the use of information and communication technologies to advance intelligent, distributed, and agile industrial automation and control systems. Its scope spans knowledge-based and AI-enhanced automation, industrial IoT and cyber-physical systems, real-time networked embedded systems, industrial communications and cybersecurity, flexible and collaborative manufacturing, and human-machine interaction.

Haoran Chi has been the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics since 2022. He has been a researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações since 2019. Before that, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in July 2018, and his Bachelor with First Class Honor from the same university in 2013. He worked as a research scholar at North Carolina State University in 2018-2019. During this journey, he gained expertise and knowledge in 5G (beyond) telecommunication, cloud/fog-based network management, ICT energy efficiency optimization, and machine learning during his career.
