Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) was present at the Army Day 2025 celebrations on October 21 in Viseu.

With the presence of the Chief of the Army Staff, the Deputy Chief, the G7 delegation, and the Minister of Defense, IT had the opportunity to be at the technological exhibition, showcasing several research projects to the civil community.

This initiative highlighted IT ongoing commitment to supporting the transfer of technology to the national industry and showcasing advances in quantum, AI, 6G, and, overall, telecommunications technologies.

There are some of our technologies displayed:

• Advanced air mobility, namely radar systems and non-kinetic countermeasures projects, funded by NATO and ANI;
• Cooperative and autonomous driving, covered by ROUTE 25;
• Satellite communications, namely IoT, WPT, mmWave propagation, and antenna design project, covered in the New Space Agenda;
• Quantum technologies, specifically QKD projects, namely DISCRETION, PTQCI & NATO SFP.

This participation reflected the strong collaboration between science, industrial innovation, and the Portuguese Armed Forces, contributing to the development of a modern, effective, and sustainable defense economy.
