90 Segundos de Ciência : Armando Pinto decodes his study on NATO's security communications

Armando Pinto, the coordinator of the Quantum Communications research group at IT's Aveiro site, was recently interviewed by the '90 Segundos de Ciência' podcast.

"Quantum technologies aim to harness the unique properties of quantum systems to perform tasks that are currently beyond the capabilities of conventional technology or to perform them more efficiently. Specifically, we are focused on enhancing communication and computing security," explained Armando Pinto.

As a researcher at IT and a professor in the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics (DETI) at the University of Aveiro, Armando Pinto is actively exploring the application of quantum technologies to enhance the security of communications within NATO military operations.
