Susana Sargento was presented as one of the 17 most influential faces in the areas of Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), in the exhibition “17 Faces of Action” that took place at the National Library of Portugal.

The IT researcher and Professor at the University of Aveiro is among other distinct personalities, such as Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo (SDG Eradicate poverty), Ana Jorge (SDG Quality Health), Natália Correia (SDG Gender Equality), Manuela Ramalho Eanes (SDG Reduce Inequalities), Helena Roseta (SDG Sustainable Cities and Communities), Francisca Van Dunem (SDG Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions), among others. Susana Sargento collects successes in her work in Networks Applications and Services research area. There are several projects that she has led that represent a great return to the community and industry, contributing to a more sustainable society.

The exhibition "17 Faces of Action" is an initiative jointly developed by the Office of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the United Nations, and other international organizations in Geneva, through do Camões - Institute for Cooperation and Language, I.P., which has the support of BNP.
