Summary: A research position for one Bolsa de Investigação para Licenciado is opened at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project MobiWise: from mobile sensing to mobility advising, POCI-01-0145-FEDER-016426, funded by Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização (POCI), in its FEDER component and Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P., through national funds.

Admission Requirements:  Licenciado degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar.  Previous experience in wireless communications and/ or propagation advantageous.  Solid C programming skills.  Good spoken and written English skills.  Self-motivated and self-disciplined; capable of working independently on a multidisciplinary, international team.
Work Objectives: Exploration of a mmWave WiFi link for backhaul of a cellular base station.

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineer, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, under the supervision of Professor Ana Cristina Costa Aguiar.
Duration: 5 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: 16 March 2019 (or soon thereafter).
Monthly salary: 745 Eur (net), according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). Additional payment/reward by private funds might be considered. The payment will be made by bank transfer
