Admission Requirements: PhD degree, Experience in scientific research in the area of Analog IC Design
Work Objectives: The work should initially explore the potential of a new family of CMOS cascode-free amplifiers, with high energy-efficiency and gain improvement, in deep nanoscale nodes, i.e., lower than 65 nm, as well as, in different application areas such as biometrics and healthcare, e.g., sensors and actuators. Furthermore, the candidate should apply innovative optimization techniques to characterize the complete potential of the above circuits and produce related soft analog IPs. Finally, the work should explore different application areas for the above mentioned circuits

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at Integrated Circuits Group - LX, under the supervision of Professor Nuno Horta
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: January 1st 2019 (or soon thereafter).
Monthly salary: 1495 € (net), according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The payment will be made by bank transfer.
