Creating and sharing knowledge for telecommunications

Project: 2D and 3D Chiral and Omega Structures:Guidance,Leakage and Radiation Behaviour

Acronym: CHIRAL
Main Objective:
Three main objectives can be identified:
(i) Electromagnetic characterization of 3D rectangular open chiral and omega uniform waveguides:guidance and leakage characteristics,new features due to chirality;
(ii) Analysis of 3D open chiral and omega nonuniform structures:characteristics(reflection/transmission) of tapers and branches;
(iii) Radiation characteristics of printed sources on planar layered chiral and omega structures:dependence of radiation characteristics(surface wave power,radiated power,impedance,bandwidth) on chiral and omega parameters.
