Project: New Luminescent Metal Complexes for Light-Emitting Diodes

Acronym: MCLEDs
Main Objective: i) Synthesis, molecular and photophysical characterisation of a collection of new luminescent metal complexes
ii) Employment of theoretical chemistry methods to understand the origin of their luminescence and to develop the capability of prediction of luminescent behaviour
iii) Fabrication and characterisation of light-emitting diodes (LED3) using the complexes showing the highest electroluminescence efficiency as emissive layer in a neat form
iv) Optimisation of metal complexes+conjugated polymers composites for LEDs applications
