Project: Implantable Organic Nano-Electronics

Acronym: I-One
Main Objective:
The vision of I-ONE is to fabricate and test a multifunctional implantable circuit targeted to repair Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). The device integrates: (i) organic electronics devices based on the organic field effect transistor (OFETs). They serve for supplying local electrical stimuli (ii) transducing neuralsignals; (iii) restoring the interrupted synapsis; (iv) sensing inflammation; and (v) local delivery on-demand of drugs, neuro-transmitters, inhibitors, and growth factors.
