Acronym: LDMOSCA |
Main Objective: Development of design methods for linear and non-linear radio frequency and microwave MOS amplifiers. Proposal of improved or newly developed local/global non-linear MOS models. It involves the study of non-linear active device behaviour from measurement, in order to extract qualitative and quantitative data required to propose global non-linear semi-empirical models. They should be able to describe the detailed mode of operation of the device, which involves not only charge/voltage or current/voltage characteristics, but also their higher order derivatives. Development of new design procedures for better small signal amplifiers with high dynamic range and highly efficient power amplifiers with low intermodulation using MOS active devices. |
