| Acronym: PROVEN |
| Main Objective: Considering the new challenges posed by streaming of high-quality omnidirectional video (ODV) over wireless systems, PROVEN targets contributions to the state-of-the-art in: 1) Visual-attention aware ODV streaming strategies; 2) User's head motion prediction algorithms; 3) Optimal selection of ODV representations; 3) Wireless network resource allocation (including the use of Mobile Edge Computing, MEC, network architectures) in scenarios with latency constraints, with several 360º video users and time-varying channel conditions. |
