| Main Objective: The main objective of this project is to investigate parametric processes, namely the four-wave mixing, in coupled-core multicore fibers (CC-MCF) in order to develop enhanced fiber optical parametric amplifiers (FOPA). When compared with traditional FOPA based on single-core fibers, we expect potential gains in terms of overall performance resulting in more energy-efficient amplifiers with enhanced noise figures. |
