Acronym: BlackHole2024 |
Main Objective: The purpose of this project is the study of properties of astrophysical compact objects that may be measures by current and future telescopes and detectors of gravitational waves, in such a way that they allow to detect eventual modifications of gravity (namely string theory corrections) and physics beyond the Standard Model (namely dark matter). Concerning specifically the physics of black holes, we wish to get a better understanding of some of their properties in modified gravity theories and in higher spacetime dimensions. In this context we will study black holes with higher derivative corrections in d dimensions, in string theory and in Einsteinian cubic gravity. |
