Abstract
BS (Base Station) cooperation architectures, combined with block transmission techniques, such as SC-FDE (Single-Carrier with Frequency-Domain Equalization) for the uplink and OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) for the downlink, are proven to be suitable for broadband wireless transmission systems. In BS cooperation schemes, MTs (Mobile Terminals) in adjacent share the same physical channel, in which the different signals are sent to a CPU (Central Processing Unit) where iterative frequency-domain receivers based on the IB-DFE (Iterative Block Decision Feedback Equalization) concept perform the combination and separation of the different transmission sources. This paper presents an extension of the BS cooperation system considering a C-RAN (Centralized-Radio Access Network) approach, allowing a large scale clustering centralized deployment.
