Abstract
This paper focus class D amplifiers output filter topology’s and characterizes the tradeoffs in its design: output ripple, negative feedback loop gain, bandwidth, attenuation of differential/common components, and minimization of the system gain variation in face of load impedance changes. The paper then describes, evaluates and compares recent developments on class D output filter topologies by analyzing its design principles, advantages and drawbacks.
