Abstract
We consider the security of control traffic generated by pro-active or table-driven link state protocols in mobile ad-hoc networks. Focusing on the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol, we propose a security solution that rewards nodes depending on their cooperation in the exchange of routing information. The proposed scheme, which correlates direct observation of transmissions with path information from successfully delivered packets, is shown to mitigate a relevant
set of security issues.
