Abstract
In this work, a tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) coated with a silica nanofilm and its performance regarding chloride concentration determination are presented. Tests were carried out before and after silica coating and results show that TFBG’s sensitivity towards chloride detection is enhanced by the coating.
