Nowadays, several solutions exist for electronic monitoring in the area of criminal applications. The interfaces of those solutions are always associated with 2D maps. This paper presents a developed solution for electronic surveillance, using a 3D virtual globe as interface, as well as several algorithms designed for distance calculations between offenders and region presence. The system architecture will be presented on this paper. Test results based on GPS data are also presented.
