The deployment of increasingly dense heterogeneous
mobile networks (Het-Net) can create high levels of interference
among users which, combined with limited spectrum availability,
can result in substantial performance degradation. In order to
evaluate both effects, a numerical analysis of the resource
allocation in HetNets is provided simulating a Het-Net layout
with both femto and macro cells using multiple antennas.
Simulation results show that the simulated Het-Net layout has colayer
and cross layer interferences where the former is the
dominant. It is also shown that the overall system capacity
increases with the increase of femto cells in the area.
