Abstract
This paper presents the first results on the design and implementation of an ultra wideband (of 3 GHz bandwidth), realtime and high resolution monostatic RADAR at 18 GHz, based on the sliding correlation of pseudo-random sequences. The real-time RADAR, with a high time resolution better than 1ns, is used for moving target identification (MTI) in harsh environments and in the presence of highly dense clutter, including through-wall imaging.
