Abstract
Considering an unamplified 400ZR-compatible system, we experimentally
demonstrate that the reverse Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution significantly enhances PCS performance. With bit-rate adaptation down to 250 Gbps, we find power budget gains of more than 2 dB.
