Abstract
This paper presents the experimental validation of an enhanced noise robust receiver for constant envelope orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CE-OFDM) within the context of Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems. CE-OFDM modulation demonstrates superior performance compared to standard OFDM, due to its increased resilience to channel and transmitter impairments. Increasing the modulation index improves performance in noisy environments, but excessively large modulation indices can cause cycle slips, which significantly degrade system performance. In this work, we propose and experimentally validate a phase correction algorithm that effectively mitigates cycle slips, enhancing system performance and enabling reliable operation at low signal-to-noise ratios.
