Bayesian and least-squares algorithms for estimating signal harmonics: A comparative study

Two algorithms for estimating signal harmonics are described and their performances are compared for waveform metrology applications: least squares and Bayesian harmonic analysis. It is confirmed that the estimates provided by them practically coincide. It is also shown that the least squares algorithm is faster than the Bayesian one.
