Abstract
This work presents a novel contribution to the analysis of magnetic structures, making use of several interrelated concepts such as, magnetic charge density, magnetic charge, magnetic current density, magnetic current intensity, magnetic voltage, magnetic scalar potential, and electric vector potential. These useful dual concepts arise in the analysis of Maxwell’s equations when standard field sources, i.e., electric charge density and electric current density are not directly at play. An application example is provided concerning the derivation of the telegrapher’s equations that govern guided wave propagation in magnetic transmission lines.
